Chevron Stations Inc. is accepting online applications for the position Area Sales Representative through February 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (PST).
Chevron Stations Inc is a wholly owned affiliate of Chevron. It is comprised of a network of 300+ company-owned, company operated (COCO) retail gas stations and convenience stores located in California, Washington and Oregon.
The Area Sales Representative is responsible for managing the operation of Company-operated, Company-owned (COCO) convenience retail outlets within a geographic area.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Actively manages COCO stores in a designated area.
Coordinates the implementation of company programs, including merchandising/promotions, image enhancements, safety, operational excellence, and customer service programs.
Accountable for operating expenses, stock/cash loss results and ensuring controls are in place to achieve business objectives and to avert business losses.
Supervises, directs and coaches ~8-10 Station Managers on all operational issues, including safety, security, regulatory compliance, sales, operations, cleaning, safe food handling, quality control, and personnel management with some support from more experienced peers.
Job Expectations:
Ensures stations and station personnel are in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
Immediately reports any business incidents to key stakeholders, including Supervisor.
Creates a high-performance culture in stores by setting clear expectations on goals, assessing team performance, holding team members accountable and giving appropriate and prompt feedback, utilizing appropriate performance management tools, policies and procedures with some support from Supervisor and or HR.
Conducts regular announced and unannounced store visits for coaching purposes, local store audits and ensuring consistency in store program execution, practices and operations.
Available to work a variety of hours and travel, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays, to respond to station incidents and emergencies.
Maintains ongoing relationships and integration of other functional teams (i.e. merchandising, accounting, OE/HES, back-office system teams, etc.
Develops effective business relationships with station personnel, internal customers, vendors, customers, external regulatory/government agencies, etc.
Participates in special projects or additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
This is a career ladder position and the expected duration of time in the role is 2 years with potential to relocate within California, Oregon or Washington as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Must reside within or be willing to relocate to either Alameda, Contra Costa or Sacramento Counties. Travel by vehicle is required within an assigned geographic area.
Minimum of three years’ retail service station experience, including supervision and/or coaching/training experience.
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying size.
Well organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Fundamental level competence in operating personal computers, POS systems, and various software packages including MS office.
Fundamental level competency of profit and loss statement and store key performance indicators to make business decisions.
Possess a current valid driver’s license, a good driving record and in-force liability insurance.
This is a safety sensitive position. All employees in safety-sensitive positions will be subject to periodic random testing for drug and alcohol.
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (5 years of business experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
Knowledge of Chevron Stations, Inc. (CSI) policies and procedures, back-office and accounting processes and systems.
Relocation Options:
Relocation will be considered within Chevron Stations Inc., parameters.
Compensation Range:
